Friend and colleague T.T. O’Brien on an easy method to kill robocalls for iPhone users.
All Apple needs to do is have a Robocall button. Got a robocall? Press the button and the number is added to Apple’s robocall database, which ten gets downloaded back to iPhones to prevent future robocalls.
What about spoofed numbers? Robocallers use those, too.
Yes, since it’s easy for robocallers to spoof phone numbers then the button would capture good numbers, but Apple can alleviate that problem with a filter. If the same phone number is being used in too many locales, then it gets dumped into the robocall block list.
