Apple has raised iPhone ASPs over the past 4 years at a time when non-Apple smartphone ASPs saw significant contraction.
A better analysis might conclude that Android smartphone makers battle on price while Apple owns the premium end of the product spectrum; as always.
The upshot is that the average iPhones now cost nearly 5x a non-Apple smartphone – an unprecedented premium even for Apple
And if Apple did not raise prices at all but kept them at 4 times or 3 times average Android phones would that be news?
