This is more than a week old but the benefits are timeless. Tera Thomas O’Brien has a way to kill spam on iPhone and iPad email apps.
SpamSieve is one of those must-have apps of historic proportions. It learns and adapts to the spam messages you receive, works and plays nice-nice in Apple’s Mail, but a few other email apps, too, including another favorite, Airmail (which also works and syncs to iPhone and iPad versions).
Nothing is better than SpamSieve to remove spam from my email’s inbox. How does that impact spam on iPhones and iPads.
Because spam is captured on the Mac, and segregated to a separate folder, those same messages don’t show up in Mail on iPhone or iPad. With one caveat. You must have the same email accounts on both platforms, macOS and iOS. Otherwise, SpamSieve on the Mac runs interference, so to speak, and blocks email from reaching your iPhone or iPad.
I got nothing. SpamSieve is priced right, I’ve never had an upgrade fee, it’s easy to administer, and there’s something satisfying about selected a spam message in the inbox and clicking on the Train as Spam button. The spam disappears into the spam catcher folder, never to be seen again, and it’s unlikely that specific spam message will show up again.
