This has to do with personal data, but it is a surprise. Jeff Dunn:
Given the diversity of data breaches that have occurred over the years, the general public has come to trust their info with some popular tech companies more than others… Topping the list is Amazon, with close to 70% of the 2,200 US adults surveyed saying they have faith in Jeff Bezos and company to keep their data secure. Google and the general category of cell phone manufacturers are close behind. Facebook and Twitter, meanwhile, are trusted by less than half of those surveyed.
That says something about the value of brands. People trust brands. Apple came in after Google. Apple could do more to promote what it does with personal data, and promote what Google does not do.
