Donald Trump defended the state of his campaign in a Tuesday interview with the “Today” show, hours after a Federal Elections Commission report revealed he had only $1.3 million cash on hand.
I understand money better than anybody. I understand it far better than Hillary, and I’m way up on the economy when it comes to questions on the economy. But we have a party that, I mean, I’m having more difficulty, frankly, with some of the people in the party than I am with the Democrats because they’re just, they don’t want to come on.
[Republicans] will probably, eventually come on,” Trump said. “Honestly, if they don’t, it’s just fine. I can win it either way. I mean, I may be better off winning it the opposite way than the more traditional way.
He’s written a lot of books about business, but they all seem to end at Chapter 11.
The same people he’s trying to get to vote for him are people he’s been exploiting for years. Because it is not just other investors or rich people that he took advantage of — it was working people. Painters, waiters, plumbers, people who needed the money and didn’t get it, not because [Trump] could not pay them, but because he could stiff them. They all tell a similar story. ‘I worked for him, I did my job, and he would not pay me what he owed me‘
Isn’t it obvious that all the smart people with ethics have decided to avoid politics entirely?
