When there’s no news it’s OK to make things up. Mark Gurman leaked a few details on the next iPhone.
In addition to expected changes such as a Force Touch display, upgraded camera system, and new Qualcomm LTE chip for up to twice-as-fast data speeds, the next iPhone will likely include updated NFC hardware, fewer and more efficient chips, and new flash memory that may nonetheless remain at a 16GB minimum capacity.
16GB? Uh oh. What does Steve Kovach of Business Insider (the so-called business publication which is in business to put a negative spin on anything Apple) think of that?
That’s bad news for all new iPhone owners if Apple ends up keeping the entry-level iPhone at just 16GB of storage… Low storage also means you may not be able to download larger apps and games because they require a lot of extra space to install. And 16GB isn’t enough storage for people who have a lot of photos, text messages, and other media stored on their devices.
Hmmm. He’s right. 16GB is not enough for people who have lots of photos and media on their iPhones. Which is why I decided to buy an iPhone with more storage. I wonder if anyone else thought of that?
