Brad Reed with some interesting stats on sales estimates for iPhone 5C vs. iPhone 5S:
The 5s is outselling the cheaper 5c in the U.S. by a ratio of nearly 2 to 1, it’s a vast improvement from where things stood a month ago when the 5s was outselling the 5c by 3 to 1. The ratio of 5s models to 5c models is higher in the rest of the world, however, as Localytics estimates that there are 2.3 iPhone 5s models sold for every iPhone 5c worldwide.
Here’s the key to understanding the gap. It’s what Apple wants to happen. Where are the stats from last year which tell how much the iPhone 5 outsold the iPhone 4S? The iPhone 5C is essentially the iPhone 5 but with a larger gross margin.
