Samsung’s chip business is about to take a huge hit thanks to… drum roll, please… Samsung. Patently Apple has details on what happened.
An “Apple tsunami” is impacting on Samsung’s logic chip division, cornering top management to implement contingency plans to find new clients as Apple moves to other sources.
In other words, Samsung decided to compete directly against Apple while selling CPUs and other chips to Apple. And, no surprise, Apple decided to take that chip business elsewhere.
There’s no one yet that’s going to fill the void due to Apple’s exit. Something tells me that Apple’s exit for logic chips is really going to hurt Samsung this time around – and it’s about time.
Did Samsung actually think Apple would give the company money to fund Samsung’s attacks on Apple’s business?
