No tech company spreads the excitement like Apple. Just days after launching the iPad, Apple plans to unveil iPhone OS 4.0 during a special media event at company headquarters in Cupertino. Jacqui Cheng in Ars:
The (invitation only) event will take place at 10am Pacific Time on Apple’s campus, giving a “sneak peek” into the future of the iPhone OS.
Apple did this each of the last two years. Don’t expect iPhone OS 4.0 to be available for download until the summer release of new iPhones. I predict a new name. iPhone OS is now on iPhone, iPod touch, and now iPad. iOS, anyone?
