How Many Launchers Do Mac Users Need?
Sunday, April 27, 2008
A launcher is simply a utility, application, or feature which gives Mac users quick access to, well, utilities, applications, or features. The Dock is OS X’s official launcher. My favorite launcher is DragThing. Launchers for Mac users these days have become sophisticated eye candy. This one is free.

There are so many launchers it makes your head swim. The best is DragThing, by far. Awesome way to manage applications, utilities, and files.

There are a lot of “Launchers” out there for sure. Like the PIMs of old I think it comes from the fact that everyone has a different vision of how to solve the issue and like PIMs there’s a good number of people that are “Launcher Junkies” looking for that eureka moment when they will at last find the PERFECT launcher. Of course there isn’t one and with a fickled audience I don’t see any end in sight.
