Enough already. I did a count. My Mac has almost 5,000 fonts (not all installed at once, of course). Collecting fonts must be an addiction.
“Hello. My name is Kate MacKenzie. I’m a fontaholic.”
My latest find is another in a series of 99-cent fonts called Embossed Font Kit from BeLight. Yep, it’s a collection of 10 embossed fonts.
Here’s a sample.
Big whoop, right? Who needs embossed fonts?
Well, me, apparently. I’ve always had trouble using Photoshop to emboss text for our company’s training materials and package logos, so it’s nice to have some that are mostly ready made.
As I was browsing through the Mac App Store font collection I found another package called Outline Font Kit. You guessed it. 99-cents for 10 more fonts.
When it comes to fonts for my Mac I tend to go in two directions. Small packages. Cheap. Or, larger packages. Also cheap.
For example, I tried the BeLight Font Kit of 600 fonts for $40. That’s about as inexpensive as you can get for hundreds of decent fonts, but still I’ll pick up a package here and there for 99-cents or $1.99, or even $ up to $6.99.
If there were a font store in Brooklyn, I’m sure they’d offer me valet parking when I drove up.
How many fonts are installed on your Mac?
