Why Apple Is Firing Its Customers

From Fortune, Roger L. Kay wrote Why Apple Is Firing Its Customers:

The iPhone-iPad-iPod Touch revolution has been great for many people, allowing them to do things they never could do before, like poke an address in their calendar (maybe even while driving) to launch Google Maps, which shows them how to get there. But not all people. If you’re blind, you’ve been left out completely.

The problem with Kay’s article (quickly edited to remove the original, offending, and inaccurate statements) is that Apple’s products are excellent for sight impaired customers. For example, the iPad Review: From A Blindness Perspective.

Apple is not firing customers, as Kay asserts. Apple chooses market segments carefully. Fortune should fire Roger L. Kay for writing such drivel, and fire the editor that allowed such drivel to be printed.
