iPhone-like Antenna Problems On Your Mac?

The root of Apple’s iPhone 4 antenna problems may be an inherent Apple antenna design flaw which also shows up in Airport equipped MacBooks. Ron McElfresh reveals the details of meticulous research in Mac360:

To ensure that the death grip actually results in a drop of signal reception sufficient to lose the Airport connection, I have to take the bottom panel off the Mac and securely grip the Airport Express Card antenna inside.

Finally, at the bottom of the stairwell, in the farthest corner, while standing on a chair and holding my MacBook with one hand, I’m able to apply the so-called Apple antenna death grip to my MacBook and actually lose the Airport WiFi connection.

Funny.
