Microsoft Internet Explorer Users Warned

As if all the bugs, malware, vulnerabilities, and exploits were not enough to convince Internet Explorer users to seek browsing solace elsewhere, now there are warnings from both governments in Germany and France to stop using Internet Explorer.

The German government has warned web users to find an alternative browser to Internet Explorer to protect security. The warning from the Federal Office for Information Security comes after Microsoft admitted IE was the weak link in recent attacks on Google’s systems.

And:

France has echoed calls by the German government for web users to find an alternative to Microsoft’s Internet Explorer (IE) to protect security. Certa, a government agency that oversees cyber threats, warned against using all versions of the web browser.

In other words, don’t use Internet Explorer. What’s a better alternative? Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Opera and nearly any other modern browser.
