Today’s big news? A huge water main break on West Broadway flooded streets, buildings, and subway lines early this morning. So, I was late for work. The whole Manhattan area was a muddy, mucky, mess. I’ve shopped at Balloon Saloon down the street. Owner Sharon Hershkowitz:
It’s awful. The water is armpit high. I got down in the basement and saw the damage. I must have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars in merchandise.
That’s a lot of balloons. Flood insurance?
I didn’t read the fine print in my policy. I’m just glad no one was hurt.
Fine print? Now that’s a disaster waiting to happen.
