Tech media seems to want to have Macs get viruses so as to be equal to Windows. More idiotic myths spread by BetaNews:

Value? The market for security protection software for Windows is saturated. They need fresh meat. They want viruses and malware on the Mac. Why? Money. Repeat after me: Malware. Virus. Worm. Trojan Horse.
Windows has tens of thousands of each. The Mac? How many? Why the discrepancy?
