One million iPhone 3GS models in three days

During a worldwide recession and with the company’s iconic leader on the sidelines, from Friday morning through Sunday, Apple sold 1-million new iPhones. Friday night the news broke that Steve Jobs had a liver transplant. The mix of great news and good news kept AAPL unexpectedly strong. Oh, about those phones. Steve Jobs:

Customers are voting and the iPhone is winning. With over 50,000 applications available from Apple’s revolutionary App Store, iPhone momentum is stronger than ever.

That it is. Welcome back, Mister Jobs. Next up, a true MacBook.
