Microsoft’s Bing is Fast and Pretty

Microsoft’s latest attempt to do something successful is Bing, a fast and pretty web search engine with instant answers, quick previews, and more detailed information than Google’s first results page. Ian Paul of PC World:

When PC World was testing Bing and comparing video search results on Bing and Live Search, we noticed both were virtually the same right down to the preview feature. In fact, the only difference PC World found between the two Microsoft search brands was the page layout and the look and feel.

So, Bing is fast, pretty, free. What else? I like it but it looks like Live Search with a new face, so I’m not likely to drop my use of Google. Seth Godin:

Google is not seen as broken by many people, and a hundred million dollars trying to persuade us that it is, is money poorly spent.
